What: RCA is a hybrid classical Christian academy (in person 2 days/week) for children ages K-12, meeting in age based groups that make sense for the community (grouping grades as needed for the number of children). A classical Christian education uses the Trivium (the arts of grammar, logic and rhetoric) to examine the great books of the Western tradition through the lens of the Bible to learn about God and his world. 

Why: We love classical Christian education and feel it's the best way for everyone to learn, because godly knowledge with godly understanding grows godly wisdom. Current schooling options in the area are not meeting the educational and other needs of our families for various reasons.

Who: Families at CHBC (and others) who want to educate their children in robust theology and education of excellence, using a classical Christian methodology and curriculum, with local leadership who are rooted and invested in the Cedar Valley. We believe that all truth is God’s truth, regardless of where it is found and want to learn about God and his world in an integrated, holistic manner. As well as, teachers, supporters, investors who want children in the Cedar Valley to be trained in virtue as their highest calling, to benefit the community and Kingdom of God. We have big dreams for impacting this generation and others to come, which may include expanding the school’s structure and offerings in the future.

How: With the Lord's help! We already are participating in a program that helps individuals begin Christians schools, and have been assigned a professional mentor to help us establish a strong foundation. In addition we are wondering how would CHBC like to be involved in this God-glorifying, virtue-training, community-impacting endeavor? We would love to partner with our church. We request building use 2 days a week beginning in August 2025. Would CHBC be willing to partner financially with us–either through a founding partnership with financial support, or through providing scholarships for students, or some other way? In addition, We would love to partner with elders who would be willing to instruct subjects such as music, Greek, and Bible.
